Resourceful, adventurous and creative, Joan moved to Atlanta in 1988 where she discovered a passion for real estate. Joan began renovating homes and purchasing rental properties in 1999, became a licensed real estate agent in 2005 and has closed more than 250 real estate transactions. In 2014, the DeKalb Association of Realtors awarded her with the prestigious Clark Harrison Community Service Award. She and real estate group, Marshall Berch and Associates of PalmerHouse Properties, have been awarded “Top Real Estate Group” and “Top Mega Team” by the Association of Realtors for numerous consecutive years.

In appreciation of the support received as a realtor and to give back to the community, a contribution will be made each time she is  involved in a areal estate transaction.

To celebrate Joan’s 10th anniversary as a real estate agent, she created a recipe book to share with clients and supportive friends. The recipe book  grew to be a mechanism to raise funds for the philanthropic fund.​​  All  proceeds will be contributed to the fund.
